Meet The Team

Hi, I'm Asia Marie Di Antonio, a proud Kailua native and Kailua High School graduate from the class of 2012. Ever since I was young, art has been at the heart of everything I do. I always dreamed of becoming an art teacher, and I’m thrilled to say that I’ve followed that dream every step of the way.

In college, I immersed myself in the world of art, mastering my own style in drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking. This journey led me to host and participate in many local art shows, take on large-scale projects, and even run a non-profit dedicated to art education.

Now, I’m living my dream every day as the proud Owner of KidzArt Hawaii. There’s nothing more fulfilling than waking up to do what I love most: creating and teaching art. I’m also honored to serve as a board member of the Kailua Chamber of Commerce, where I get to contribute to our vibrant community.

When I’m not immersed in my art world, you can find me hanging out at home with my cats, cruising around the island, jamming to music, playing board games with friends, or spending quality time with my amazing husband, Daniel.
Living this life has been a dream come true, and I’m so excited for all the creative adventures ahead!

Aloha! My name is Kyla and I have been an instructor at Kidzart and Club Scientific since 2021. Throughout the past few years I have had the privilege of watching this business grow and flourish; like the business, I have also grown into a more social media marketing-focused role. While I am still learning myself I am dedicated to the success and growth of Da Dream Lab.
In the classroom, I value open and honest communication and will always push for a positive environment. As I continue to work for Da Dream Lab I look forward to witnessing the educational and creative knowledge of my students develop.

Brad is a travelled Artist who loves to capture moments from life through plein-air landscapes and portraiture. As an instructor Mr B is passionate about Art as a language. Educating young artists in the "grammar" of Art because with this literacy they are free to push their craft and truly express themselves.

​Malia Galindo is a youth pastor with over 5 years experience working with kids and youth of all ages. Born and raised in Kailua, she moved to California for school and came back to work for her long time friend Asia. 
"Working with kids is a lot of fun and allows me to express more creativity and a little silliness. Each child has their own story and I love to be a part of their journey and be a positive influence on how they are impacting the world now."

Hi, I’m Steph! I’m thrilled to be joining KidzArt and working with your kids to spark their creativity! I’ve previously worked as a preschool teacher, so I know how important it is to encourage young imaginations. My daughter loves these classes, which makes me even more excited to be part of the amazing team. When I’m not teaching, I’m usually playing with makeup, especially eyeshadow (which I have way too much of), listening to audiobooks or music, or hanging out with my husband and two kiddos. I also have a big love for all things spooky, especially skulls and skeletons. I’m looking forward to a creative and fun experience with your kiddos!

Stella Balick-Karrer was first a student and volunteer before she became a kidzart instructor. She has been working with kids as a nanny/babysitter and KidzArt volunteer turned teacher for 7 years! Born and raised in Los Angeles, she moved to Kailua only a month before meeting Asia for the first time and has been a part of our classes ever since.

This program lets me guide students of all different ages throughout the week while they make beautiful projects that show off every part of their individuality. I get to be playful and energetic and make the kiddos feel happy and safe, and teach them about different art techniques and terms that they will remember forever.”

Aloha! My name is Victoria Hamasaki! I am born, raised and still reside in Kailua with my 8 year old daughter. She is my greatest teacher and becoming a mother propelled my passion for education. During the school year I teach elementary special education for the DOE. It is an honor to be a part of your child's learning journey at Kidzart! I am excited to witness the wonderful masterpieces and epic science experiments to come! Mahalo nui!

Hi! I'm Kai! I started taking KidzArt and Club Scientific when I was 4, and have stuck with the program ever since. I am very passionate about planes and video games so if you want to please come to me about that if you want to talk.  I have a baby sister and a dog who I love both a lot.  Currently my hobbies are rock climbing and working out.  I am very happy to be here and I can't wait to help

Hello, I’m Maile. I live in Kailua and I’ve been in Kids Art before with my sister when we were younger. I’m into art and creative things like drawing and doing art electives in school. I also like writing and have done performance electives like theater!

Hello All! My name is Daniel, and I've been a proud part of the Club Scientific family since 2019. I was born and raised right here in Kailua and graduated from Kailua High School in 2008. After high school, I headed to Virginia, where I attended George Mason University.

My passions have always centered around the environment, science, and teaching. For the past decade, I’ve been deeply involved in the food and beverage industry, managing restaurants and honing my leadership skills. However, my heart has always been drawn to education and the wonders of science, so I’m thrilled to be pursuing my true passions full-time with Club Scientific.

Beyond science, I have a love for Magic: The Gathering, Myers-Briggs personality theory, and music. I’m excited to bring my experience, enthusiasm, and diverse interests to our programs, helping to inspire and guide the next generation of young scientists. It’s an incredible journey, and I’m grateful to be part of such a vibrant and curious community!

Simone Fromen is a contemporary figurative painter based out of Honolulu, Hawai’i. With work exhibited in Downtown Art Center’s 2023 “Artists of Hawai’i”, and UH Manoa’s 2024 BFA showcase “ ____ Identity”, Simone’s large-scale paintings are inspired by the wonders of childhood, naivety, play, and a longing to connect to the inner-child. Simone has worked at KidzArt since 2021, and graduated from UH Manoa with a Bachelors in Fine Arts in 2024, and is excited to continue to teach and create curriculum for young artists.

Hi, I’m Anna and I am our social media manager! I have been with Kidzart & Club Scientific since the summer of 2023 where I started off as a camp instructor and fell in love with teaching science. I have since had to move to the mainland, but I feel so lucky to still be part of the team. Posting on our socials and seeing all of the photos and videos that are sent to me, I feel like I’m still there!

Hi everyone! My name is Xoe, I was born and raised in Hawai’i and am currently studying art online. I’m thrilled to be working at KidzArt and am grateful for the opportunity to help others unlock their creativity. :)

Moving to O’ahu at the age of four left me separated from my extended family in the Pacific Northwest. Hawai’i gave me my love for the ocean, hiking with my dogs and the importance of family. If I’m not outside then I’m either reading, playing video games or cooking it up in the kitchen! During 2024 I achieved a Bachelor’s in the Fine Arts at UH Manoa in drawing & painting. Growing up I was always surrounded by art and I hope to ignite creativity to others.

Born and raised in Kailua, John graduated from Mid-Pacific Institute in 2012, and finished his bachelor's degree in art studio at UH Manoa in spring 2025. John has been a Lifeguard/Swim Instructor for the past 10 years at YWCA Kokokahi and is looking forward to continuing educating our next generation here at Kidz Art!

Aloha! my names Nanea and i’m from Kailua, Oahu. I am 18 years old and graduated with the class of 2025 from Kamehameha Schools. I grew up in a big house hold and am very use to being around younger kids and looking after them. I love the ocean and being outdoors along with outrigger canoe paddling. I love art, reading, science, and overall anything that allows me to be creative!

I enjoy the simple things in life, like sipping on boba while watching anime or playing video games. The chewy tapioca pearls and variety of flavors make boba the perfect treat. When I'm not enjoying a drink, I love exploring the world of art, where creativity is endless. Anime is something I’m passionate about, with its great stories and unique animation. Video games are another favorite, offering a fun way to escape into different worlds and connect with others. Whether it's trying a new game or rewatching a beloved anime, there's always something fun to do.
